Specialty Fabrics: Velvet

We appreciate how a little texture adds a lot of interest to even the simplest styles. We also recognize that you love the everyday ease and versatility of knits. With this in mind, we started with holiday-ready crushed velvet and added a touch of spandex to make our velvet-knit shirred-back top and velvet-knit midi skirt. We also added spandex to the knit fabric of our wonderfully plush Pure Jill velour styles. The boat-neck tunic and joggers are cozy, comfortable and stylish.

Our rayon blends are always soft with a beautiful drape, but add a little silk and you’ll immediately see (and feel) why our new A-line shirt is so special. It has a radiant luster, luxurious softness and a level of elegance that elevate the classic appeal of a traditional button-front style. This top is anything but basic and perfect to wear day or night.

We created a blazer that combines the versatility you know and love from our Wearever Collection with the soft luxury of stretch velvet. Plus, our new velvet relaxed jacket is softly textured with a subtle sheen and an easy fit that make it the perfect piece of statement outerwear. It also looks great as an added layer when you’re inside and want to feel extra cozy. Depending on how you choose to style either piece, it can be a little casual with jeans and flats or a bit dressy with black pants, heels and just a few accessories.
