DESIGN STORY

Behind the Collection

Moving further into fall and inspired by the tranquility of an upstate getaway, our design team took color cues from mountain streams and dusk skies, resulting in a mix of woodsy neutrals and watery blues. They also focused on soft, comfortable styles that layer easily and cozy fabrics with unique textures.

There’s a thread of relaxed luxury throughout our collection,
which is just what’s needed this time of year.

Warm Rustic Colors

Our collection this month captures the beautiful colors of the sun setting on the horizon of a wooded hillside. Soft neutrals like soapstone are great for tonal dressing. They also set the perfect backdrop for rich tones like gold, garnet and sapphire, bringing deeper meaning to the term earth tones.

Unique Textures

From quilting and ribbing to cozy fleece and the various stitch techniques on our new sweaters, we’ve taken that magical fall feeling and made it tangible. It’s also in the velvety texture of our faux-suede styles, the smooth, subtle luster of our exclusive Luxe Supima® and the sumptuous softness of our cashmere and our cotton and silk blends. It all feels so good that getting dressed is a form of self-care.

Familiar Patterns

We love classics. There’s comfort in their familiarity and ability to transcend time. The prints and patterns we selected for this collection reflect that appreciation. Small florals feel nostalgic, while larger painterly ones add a romantic flourish. Meanwhile, intricate paisleys, Fair Isle patterns and plaid in various checks feel both fresh and familiar.
